This weekend a lead and speed world cup takes place in Chuncheon, Korea. This worldcup is part of the World Leisure Games and the ChunCheon 2010 World Leisure Congress. One week ago Angela Payne (USA) climbed ‘The Automator’ V13 in Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP). It is probably the worlds first female ascent of a straight-up 8B boulder problem. A video of the acent is now online… If you are interested in worldcups and routesetting the new video of Udo Neumann is one to watch. The video features interviews with many competitors about the routesetting in the past season. Here’s yet another great video from Bernardo Gimenez. This time the subject is Belgian climber Nicolas Favresse climbing La Reina Mora (8c+) in Siurana, Spain. No hablo español… so with crappy subtitles. I didn’t make any pictures or videos so I just come up with some fresh videos of (summer) trips by others. The Arco Rockmaster 2010 has started this morning. This yearly event that isn’t part of the worldcup circuit has a special edition this year because it will be a test event for the World Championships that will take place in Arco next year. This video by Bernardo Gimenez was released two months ago. It’s about Danilo Pereyra attempt to climb Chikane 8c+ in Siurana (Spain).
