This weekend a lead and speed world cup takes place in Chuncheon, Korea. This worldcup is part of the World Leisure Games and the ChunCheon 2010 World Leisure Congress.

This monday the lead worldcup season will start in Chamonix, France. Next to the worldcup in Chamonix, five more 2010 lead worldcups can be found at the ifsc calender. The French worldcup is known as one of the most prestigious; Taking place at a beautiful location on an outdoor wall with lots of spectators. It’s [...] I haven’t seen any official press releases by the IFSC or IOC yet, but here and there can be read that sport climbing received it’s full Olympic recognition during an IOC meeting in Vancouver. Sport climbing at the Olympics in 2020? A debut at the 2028 Olympics in Holland would be nice! Stolby is a national park in Russia, it features rock formations that have been climbed for ages. This video about climbing in Stolby was shot some years ago and put online by Patagonia. It’s probably one of the most bizarre climbing videos I have ever seen. Tomorrow and Saturday (6-7 nov) a Lead World Cup takes place in Brno in the Czech Republic. As a part of the Monkee family I have to show you the upcoming 2010 collection. This weekend (21-22 August) the 3th lead world cup of this season will be held in Imst, Austria. The Netherlands + architecture + climbing seems to be a golden combination.
