The 19 year old Austrian Kornelius Obleitner made the 3th ascent of Memento, 8C+, at Silvretta. Memento was opened by Bernd Zangerl in 2005 and repeated by Bernhard Schwaiger in 2007.

8a.nu mentions that Kornelius didn’t climb boulders harder then 8a+ before his ascent of Memento. Kornelius has put Memento as an 8c in his 8a.nu scorecard.

Congrats on the making the third ascent that’s pretty sick. And I love that picture by the way.
And there have been more ascents lately. 8a.nu reported in September that Akito Matsushima from Japan made the fourth ascent of Memento in only 2 hours. It was actually a fast fifth ascent. Kilian Fischhuber made the fourth in August.
