The new Matador climbing shoes by Red Chili are uncompromising, red, angry and perfect. This is the shoe for action climbers, for boulderers, the shoe for the best. Are you one of those? Then here’s your chance to get your hands on a free pair of Matadors!

Red Chili
Red Chili is a climbing shoe brand from Germany founded by the well known climbers Stefan Glowacz and Uwe Hofstädter. After a day of climbing they both had the vision to develop a shoe that fitted so perfect that even after twenty pitches, or after half a day of bouldering, nothing would hurt and climbing would still be nothing but fun.
They started to import an existing climbing shoe brand at first, but got so frustrated by delivery problems and unsatisfied customers that they often ended up in Uwe’s apartment flushing away their frustrations with (too) much red wine. On one of these evenings, while listening to the Red Hot Chili Peppers, they decided it was enough. They decided to start their own brand and scribbled their vision on a piece of paper. After waking up the next morning -probably with a headache- they found the piece of paper soaked in red wine. Two words were on it: Red Chili. It was the start of a brand that would quickly establish itself as one of the leading climbing shoe manufacturers.
At this moment Red Chili is working hard on their new webshop at redchili.de. Soon it will be possible to buy a pair of Chili’s even when there are no Red Chili sellers in your area. Want to keep up to date? Become a Red Chili fan on facebook and don’t forget to do the same with joost.climbing.nl.
Matador
The Matador is Red Chili’s most advanced shoe ever and they say it’s the most precise and powerful shoe around.
The toe down fit combined with the lo-stretch synthetic upper material forces the foot forward into the toe creating peerless precision even at extreme angles.
At the same time the triple Velcro straps keep the rest of the foot perfectly anchored, but allowing quick and easy adjustment. The sensitive midsole provides amazing feedback from the rock without sacrificing power or torsional stability. The Matador comes with extended, profiled arch rubber, an almost perfect heel cup and over the toe bonus rubber gives extreme hookin’ power.
Win!
You want these shoes don’t you? Well, thanks to Red Chili you can become the next joost.climbing.nl prize question winner after Laurent (FRA), Steven (BEL), Linus (SWE), Pieter (NED) and Tim (NED).
How?
Send me an email with the names of the three designers of the Matador shoe. Don’t forget to mention your address and your Red Chili shoe size! No swapping, so make sure it’s the right size!
One hint: The answer can be found at the Red Chili website.
The online number picker will pick one winner out of the right answers in the first weekend of November. After that the shoes will be blessed and packed by Stefan Glowacz himself. That means it’s possible that you’ll find one of Stefans hairs in the shoebox… anyway… you get the message… joost.climbing.nl prize questions are something special ;-)
